Only carpet made from wool, silk, or nylon fibers can be dyed. In addition, carpets that are stain resistant or very thick are not good candidates for dyeing.
JET Beck is the most commonly used method of dyeing commercial carpets. It involves placing the tufted blanket in a vat of dyeing solution under high pressure. The pressure forces the color into fibers much more quickly than the standard Beck process.
